The Productivity Commission undertood a study into Georgraphic Labour Mobility at the request of the Australian Government and the report has now been released.
RDA Gold Coast worked with the Productivity Commission to host a forum on the Gold Coast earlier this year.
As part of the study, the Commission looked into the economic changes and workforce issues affecting communities at a regional level. Topics for discussion included the impact of economic and demographic change, commuting patterns, the use of fly-in fly-out work practices and the ways in which Council and the community are managing these changes.
The Commissioner, Alison McClelland, facilitated the forum discussion.
