The Queensland Government has launched the Queensland Regionalisation Strategy (QRS), a future-thinking plan to manage the state's population and economic growth over the next 20 years. This follows the launch of the first annual Queensland Infrastructure Plan (QIP), a blueprint for the state's infrastructure priorities for the next 20 years and beyond, which was launched on 3 November 2011.
The QRS is supported by regional action plans – 'Actions for a stronger region' – which list some of the projects planned for each of Queensland's six regions outside of SEQ to maximise the opportunities and benefits associated with growth.

Way to Grow Consultation Report
The Way to Grow Consultation Report is now available and has been used to refine the 35 statewide actions in the QRS and to help establish regional actions.
Consultation versions of the QRS, the QIP, and the Bruce Highway Upgrade Strategy were released in July 2011. The community, industry and local government provided feedback on these documents and shared their ideas for growing stronger regions through Way to Grow forums across the state as well as via email, post and telephone. Consultation closed on 9 September 2011.
We thank all those who participated in this consultation process for their time, effort and contribution.
