City leaders will take part in a think tank to identify how to stimulate the economic recovery of the Gold Coast. Regional Development Australia – Gold Coast is holding its annual Regional Leaders’ Forum on Wednesday 16 th August at RACV Royal Pines Resort to address the critical needs and priorities for the city.

Over 200 representatives from all levels of government, business and the local community will take part in two interactive workshops to help refine the Roadmap for the future of the Gold Coast. The Roadmap will be used to apply resources, policy and funding to the greatest needs in the city.

Regional Development Australia – Gold Coast Chairman, Craig Devlin said “This is an opportunity to shape how we respond to the economic and social circumstances and build on the strengths of the Gold Coast”.

Confident of the opportunities available in the region, and excited about the role of RDA Gold Coast in driving the economic recovery of the city, Mr. Devlin said “a key priority is to focus the available resources towards the greatest needs and look for new investment and events” he said.

A limited number of places are still available at the Forum to be held at Royal Pines Resort and interested people must register before the close of business on Monday 13 August 2012.
