Lucy Ardern

Lucy is a strategic communicator who has extensive media, agency and in-house experience.
Her 15 years in the media included time as a newspaper editor, chief of staff and journalist working for the APN and News Corp groups in Queensland. She has an extensive understanding of the media landscape.
She also worked for leading Queensland-based strategic communications company Rowland for three years, working with a range of clients of all sizes to better position them and their projects in the marketplace. Lucy was Rowland’s Gold Coast director.
Lucy worked as Queensland Airports Limited’s (QAL) Corporate Relations General Manager for almost five years, responsible for leading strategic communications for the company and its four airports (issues and crisis communications, stakeholder communications, corporate communications, government relations, media engagement and sponsorships).
Lucy joined light rail operator franchisee GoldlinQ in October 2022, where she is Stakeholder and Media Engagement Manager.
She has lived on the Gold Coast since 2009 and is a passionate advocate for the city and the northern NSW region.
